Dell Inc: A full IT Solutions Provider in Brazil

In 1999, as one of the first computer manufacturers to invest in a plant in Brazil, Dell opened a manufacturing unit at the company's headquarters in Eldorado do Sul (Rio Grande do Sul state). Later, it implemented a Software Development Center in the Technology Park, TECNOPUC, in Porto Alegre (RS).

In August 2007, the company moved its production line to Hortolândia (São Paulo state). From this point, Dell introduced retail operations, launched the Dell PartnerDirect program, and started its business as an IT solutions provider. Dell now has a local team in Brazil with approximately 4,000 employees.

In recent years, Dell has experienced a noteworthy transformation as a result of incorporating 22 companies in the last four years. Today, Dell is a full IT solutions provider for clients of all types, sizes, and sectors, with a portfolio that meets a variety of user needs including software, hardware, and IT services.

As part of a strategy to consolidate as a full IT solutions provider, Dell announced the biggest marketing investment in the region, and in 2013, launched a branding campaign in Brazil. By highlighting customer stories across key industries, the brand campaign showcases Dell’s capabilities as a full enterprise technology solutions provider enabling customers to reach their goals. This is the biggest investment of Brazil in marketing. In March of the same year, the company created the 1st Dell Solution Center (DSC) in Brazil, a 780 square meter store, located in São Paulo.

Dell Solution Center Brazil is the 15th most important Solution Center in the company around the globe. This office is equipped to run demos as well as hardware and software assessments. With experts ready to help companies with the design, implementation, and simulation of customized projects, Dell aims to bring the best return over investment in IT, while keeping aligned with its clients’ business priorities.

Connected to the other 14 Dell Solution Centers worldwide, DSC Brazil will also share Dell's global network of data center resources and experts. This enables clients and partners to work with Dell virtually, using a dedicated remote server which is a bonus for clients unavailable to travel to the center. This particularly benefits big companies bringing together project team members from various locations.

The company has also invested in Dell Powering The Possible, a corporate social responsibility platform where Dell works with disaster relief organizations to support communities faced with natural disasters.

Besides the Hortolândia factory, the Eldorado do Sul headquarters, the TECNOPUC unit, and the Solution Center, Dell also has a commercial office in São Paulo.

Additionally, the company has online teams supporting customers throughout Brazil.
