North Texas
North Texas is a region primed for business as it offers international companies a highly-dynamic and thriving business environment coupled with an excellent quality of life.
The North Texas Commission (NTC), a non-profit organization, has spent 43 years facilitating regional growth. With 150 cities and municipalities and 6.7 million people, North Texas is one of the fastest growing regions in the United States, with one new resident every five minutes.
Advocating long-term regional planning for sustainable growth, NTC ensures adequate transportation networks, clean air, and water management. North Texas Commission Vice President of Communications, Kimberly Walton explained, “An organization like ours is necessary to foster collaboration amongst businesses and the community.”
Technology, aviation, defense, healthcare, and education are keystone industries of the area, with the headquarters of Lockheed Martin and Texas Instruments exemplifying its innovation.
“We are perfectly situated in the United States with interstate highways and outstanding air cargo infrastructure,” said Ms. Walton. “North Texas has a global metropolitan feel with leaders from all over the world.”
Regarding Brazil, leaders in the North Texas region are increasingly building connections. For example, American Airlines launched a direct service to São Paulo from Dallas/Fort Worth International AirportAirport last year, significantly strengthening outreach between North Texas and Brazil.
NTC facilitates connections, provides information, and is dedicated to offering resources, like its free publication, NTX Magazine. Ms. Walton explained, “We are like a mall directory. We won’t tell you where to shop. We just want you shopping at our region.”
“Brazilians and Texans have so much in common. It’s in the values, the way of life, and the barbecue,” said Ms. Walton. “When people move to North Texas they will feel able to grow their company, and also grow their quality of life. Here you’ll find a piece of home.”
