Trelleborg’s newest offshore factory in Brazil now supports the local Brazilian oil and gas supply chain including operators, ship builders, construction contractors, and equipment manufacturers.

 

Based in Macaé, the facility has the capability of manufacturing Trelleborg Offshore’s complete product portfolio including a wide range of polymer-based solutions such as deep-water buoyancy, pipeline protection, and thermal insulation for topside and subsea offshore applications.

Trelleborg Offshore has been awarded its Licença Municipal de Operação (LMO) certification; a municipal license which permits the company to manufacture in Brazil. As a result, Trelleborg has received and delivered its first order for Vikotherm™ PT thermal insulation tape for flexible pipelines.
