Lufthansa’s Legacy for Service
October 3, 2014
As evidence of this, Lufthansa increased its scheduled flights between Germany and Brazil with the aim of facilitating seamless connections via the major hubs in São Paulo–Guarulhos and Rio de Janeiro–Galeão/Antônio Carlos Jobim.
The airline is not only looking to increase its capacity in Brazil, but to also continue its tradition of service by bringing new offerings through its business and economy classes.

With its status and reputation as a quality carrier firmly cemented in the European region, Lufthansa has prioritized expanding its Latin American service with particular focus on Brazil.
“Given the fact that Brazil is home to many German companies, mostly in automotive, pharmaceutical, and manufacturing companies, this market is very important for Lufthansa” expressed Mr. Nils Haupt, Director of Corporate Communications.

As part of this effort, Lufthansa introduced the latest-generation Boeing 747-8 on its daily flight between Frankfurt Airport and São Paulo-Guarulhos. The new ‘Queen of the Skies’ aircraft began its travels just in time for World Cup fans to experience Lufthansa’s top travel comfort on their journey to the Brazilian metropolis.
Lufthansa’s legacy for service and schedule has helped grow it into the largest airline in Europe. Today, the airline continues to attract more Brazilian travelers by striving to become a five star airline across all of its service classes.
