With world-renowned art and design programs ranging from sustainable design to sculpture, Emily Carr University of Art and Design attracts top students from around the globe, who relish the plethora of opportunities to study amongst leaders in their fields. Located in bustling Vancouver, the school strives to develop students into “agents of change and integration who make social, economic, and ecological impacts on a global level.”

State-of-the-art research centers enable students and faculty to pursue applied interdisciplinary research in three unique environments: the Social and Interactive Media Centre, which supports innovative entrepreneurs; the Stereoscopic 3D Centre for advanced imaging; and the Health Design Lab, which engages the community in meaningful health-related dialogue.

Celebrating its 90th anniversary this year, Emily Carr University looks forward to expanding its global outreach by welcoming Brazilian Science without Borders students and attracting more international students to its Vancouver campus as well as the Great Northern Way campus, opening in 2017. At present, nearly one in five Emily Carr University students hail from abroad, a trend the school feels contributes significantly to its dynamic, thriving learning environment.
