Frankfurt Chamber of Commerce

October 3, 2014

Explained Ms. Monika Goldbach, of the Chamber, “Brazil has the political stability that almost no other emerging country can offer to German companies. Also the infrastructure and network needed for German companies entering Brazil is already strongly established.”

In 2014, the Chamber hosted a seminar for SME's looking to enter the Brazilian market, expecting a turnout of 30 and had over 80 companies attend, demonstrating the huge increase in interest from Germany companies.

“Brazil has been a very popular destination for German companies and we would like to see more Brazilian companies locating themselves in Frankfurt,” said Ms. Goldbach. From assisting with finding an ideal location, to using their broad network of over 100,000 member companies and hosting monthly seminars and events, the Chamber offers every kind of practical support for Brazilian companies looking to Germany. With the biggest industries of the region including finance and automotive, Ms. Goldbach has seen an increased focus on life sciences and health in the Frankfurt area and looks forward to welcoming more foreign companies from all sectors to the region.

Frankfurt-am-Main has been a hub of international business for many reasons involving its central location, hosting The European Central Bank, and infrastructure, including one of the largest airports in Europe. As the most international location in Germany, the Frankfurt Chamber of Commerce provides services to help German companies expand abroad as well as foreign firms settle in Frankfurt.

The Chamber has a special focus on Brazil, when it comes to Latin America. “Brazil should be a part of every German company’s future business strategy, as it is the biggest Latin American economy.”
