Schaeffler, Invested in Brazil Since 1958

October 3, 2014

Schaeffler, a Germany based leading global technology company with its three product brands INA, LuK, and FAG, has been shaping the future of mobility in Brazil since 1958. Prof. Dr. Peter Pleus, CEO Automotive of Schaeffler Group, said: “we have focused on frictionless motion in three sectors: engine, transmission, and chassis.”

Manufacturing locally, almost everything Schaeffler produces can be found in Brazil. Catering to the trends, Schaeffler’s success factor has been its ability to understand the current and future needs of its customers. “Fuel consumption reduction and affordable mobility are the drivers for Schaeffler in Brasil. With our strong engineering competence we develop solutions that improve efficiency and optimize the conventional power train, but also solutions for hybridization and fully electric driving” explained Prof. Pleus.

As a future-oriented company, Schaeffler sees the importance for the Brazilian government to focus on enforcing regulations, while also balancing staying competitive with the world market. “Together we move the world, this is our slogan” concluded Dr. Pleus. With the support of the Brazilian private and public sector, Schaeffler will continue moving the Brazilian automotive market.
