Accreditations

The University’s academic programs have received many approvals and accreditations, including CAAM-HP accreditation for the MD program, AVMA COE accreditation for the DVM program, and CEPH accreditation for the MPH program.

 

School of Medicine

With a dedication to a universal model of education, the School of Medicine at St. George’s offers a comprehensive program of study to accommodate the academic backgrounds and professional aspirations of students from all over the world. An exciting option beyond the stand-alone MD degree, dual MD/MPH, MD/MSc, and MD/MBA degrees are available to St. George’s medical students.

 

Graduate Success

More than 12,000 graduates from 133 countries have been licensed to practice medicine in all 50 states in the US and have practiced in over 50 countries around the world. St. George’s University students who took the USMLE 1 for the first time in 2013 achieved a 98 percent pass rate, surpassing the first-time pass rate of 97 percent for students at US and Canadian schools. As of 2014, St. George’s University is the #1 provider of doctors into first-year US residencies for the last three years combined, with more than 770 residencies in the US and Canada in 2014.

Breathtaking Campus

Over the last decade, more than USD $250 million has been spent to create a beautiful, state-of-the-art campus, rivaling some of the most prestigious universities in the world. The St. George’s campus includes 65 buildings spread out over 42 acres in a vibrant, tropical seaside location. Over 2,000 students live on campus and others live in the surrounding neighborhoods, which are served by the University-provided free bus transportation. The True Blue campus, as it’s called, provides all the amenities and technologically advanced facilities of a world-class institution, while offering beautiful scenery and majestic views of the Caribbean Sea.
